On Nov. 1, 2025 Chris Di Cesare, in an event sponsored by Syracuse Paranormal, delivered a screening of the Netflix adaptation followed by a Q&A. Leading the event were four of the key speakers for the episodes: Chris DiCesare, J. Jeff Ungar, Linda Kalasinski, and Craig Norr (not featuring Vito Di Cesare and Father Charlie Manning due to health reasons, or Di Cesare’s former roommate Paul, who has not spoken to Chris in over 30 years).

Last May, eight porch geese dressed in graduation caps and gowns decorated the MacVittie College Union. They were everywhere, from the Hunt Room to the top of a vending machine—this is the scene I entered.

“Unicorns, chaos, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” These are the three words that describe SUNY Geneseo’s Circus Club, according to two of its e-board members, Kaiya Slovik-Rodgers and Julian Delisle.

To put it bluntly, there is a lot going on just about all the time. So how great would it be if you had some scheduled time just to relax each week? Not doomscrolling on your phone, but actually doing something peaceful that will calm you.

From Monday Oct. 27 to Friday Oct. 31, the Geneseo Campus Activity Board (GCAB) hosted a series of spooky events completely free of charge to students on campus.

If you have ever walked up the stairs by Sturges Hall, then you have likely seen the beautiful mural inspired by Geneseo sunsets and stained glass windows of Brodie Hall. But you probably do not know the story of how that mural came to be.

On Oct. 28, 2025, members of the SUNY Geneseo community gathered in the MacVittie College Union (MCU) Ballroom from 3:00pm to 4:00pm to welcome the newly arrived president to the college in true Knight fashion—with a loud and heartfelt banquet reception.

On Saturday Oct. 25, 2025 Peace Action Geneseo (PAG) hosted a rally in support of Peace for Palestine in collaboration with the Young Democratic Socialists of America at Geneseo (YDSA).

On Oct. 25 at 7:00pm in Wadsworth Auditorium, the room echoed with the sound of voices singing in harmony. This event was the first a cappella concert of the semester, featuring five of SUNY Geneseo’s very own talented groups: Between the Lines, Emmelodics, Exit 8, Hips ‘N Harmony, and Southside Boys.

Geneseo’s official anthropology and sociomedical sciences club, the Society for Anthropology and Sociomedical Sciences (or “SASS” for short) is open to all students interested in the study of humans, past and present, their cultures, life experiences, their unique understandings of health and medicine, and how these things impact the wider environment and world.

Peggy-Ilean is a beautiful therapy dog who has three feet, and is an up-and-coming gem to visit with on SUNY Geneseo campus.

This past weekend was a big weekend for many Greek organizations on Geneseo campus, celebrating an occasion known as “crossing.” There are many terms within the Greek life community that can be very confusing or misunderstood, so as a member of Geneseo Greek life, here’s a guide to beginning to understand Greek life on campus. 

From Oct. 20-24, 2025 SUNY Geneseo is participating in National Transfer Student Week, hosting a variety of events to promote inclusivity for transfer students on campus. 

Last Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, Geneseo joined over 2,700 other peaceful protests across the US in a second series of No Kings protests, which saw over seven million attendees, according to No Kings. Like other No Kings events, Geneseo held a “nationwide day of defiance” to the second Trump Administration, according to Geneseo Peace Action.

This past April marked the grand opening of the newly renovated and revamped space, and I interviewed Mika not only about the amenities the library offers, but also about her experience working for SUNY Geneseo.

In light of recent political events, this series of protests is being held once again across the country, appropriately named No Kings 2.0.

Lined with straw-filled creations of every shape and size, Main Street was flooded this past Friday, Oct. 3 with students, families, and vendors welcoming fall by way of Geneseo’s very own Scarecrow Festival.

Sundance Books is a small yet incredibly homey shop located right on Main Street, wedged between Envy Hair Salon and Main Moon. Sundance Books has been open since 1972, bringing in countless students, residents, and more over the years, supplying the local community with affordable options to buy and sell books.

Joining a Creative Writing Club might sound intimidating when you first hear about it. Writing might imply a club that you have to complete work for, and sharing your work with other people can be a little scary. However, just attending a single meeting will show you that there is nothing intimidating about the club at all!

SUNY Geneseo students have opened a pickleball club on campus, hoping to expand the amount of student clubs, the number of students involved in club sports, and to respond to the national surge of interest in the sport.
