In the lobby of the MacVittie College Union on Feb. 9, Hips 'n Harmony held their annual carnation sale, drawing students in with colorful and vibrant flowers and bringing their familiar tradition back to campus.

On a campus filled with deadlines, rehearsals, and packed schedules, finding a space devoted purely to conversation and reflection can feel rare. Geneseo’s Philosophy Club offers exactly that: a welcoming environment where students and professors can come together to explore ideas, ask difficult questions, and think collectively—without the pressure of grades or expectations.

On Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Geneseo Late Knight (GLK) and the Geneseo Figure Skating Club (GFSC) collaborated to produce a memorable and joyful night of ice skating for students.

SUNY Geneseo students feeling like there is Much Ado About Nothing on campus should direct their attention to The Globe, Geneseo’s Shakesphere club centered around “bonding, [being] surprising, [and] whimsical,” as founders Sonia Horowitz and Ella Singer put it while discussing their club with The Lamron.

For the first time since the notorious gas leak of 2024, as covered by The Lamron, SUNY Geneseo cancelled classes due to the State of Emergency announced by Governor Hochul.

For 30 years, the Geneseo Area Gaming Group (GAGG) has hosted an event called “Running GAGG,” with this year’s conference being held Jan. 30 through Feb. 1.

The best advice I can give to any student—not only first years—is to find a club that suits you and join.

We have now entered the part of the semester where final projects, presentations, and exam preparation are in full swing. That includes the students in Dr. Adams’s WGST-310 Race, Class, and Gender course.

As he was working towards his undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, he realized that students with more complex behavioral problems inspired him the most.

The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, though currently inactive, is a sorority present on the SUNY Geneseo campus and looking to induct students interested in advocating for their cause. Founded in January of 1920, with the Geneseo chapter (Zeta Iota) founded on Apr. 21, 1979, this organization has a longstanding presence on campus, and has involved hundreds of women over the years under their shared pursuit of the sorority’s values: “Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.”
