The New York Rangers (NYR) may be turning their season around after winning their three most recent games. Fans are finally able to enjoy a game without witnessing the Rangers being constantly defeated. 

Matthew Schaefer, the New York Islanders’ star rookie, has been making a name for himself in the National Hockey League (NHL). Since signing his rookie contract, Schaefer has been making history night in and out and is by far one of the top candidates for the Calder Trophy—awarded to the league’s top rookie—just one month into the season.

The Knights’ swimming and diving team faced SUNY Brockport this past Friday on Halloween. They must have scared away the competition because the men’s team dominated with a score of 232-66, and the women’s team was not far behind with a score of 197-103. This was the fifth straight win for both teams. 

The SUNY Geneseo women’s cross country team has once again proved why they are one of the best in the conference. On Nov. 1, 2025, the Knights won their 14th straight Empire 8 Conference Championship in Rochester, New York.

Now, after Los Angeles triumphed over the Blue Jays 5-4 in Game Seven in 11 innings, I can confidently say that this might just have been the greatest World Series, not just in the last decade, but of all time.

For the first time in more than 70 years, women will have the opportunity to play professional baseball in the United States.

With the World Series well underway between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to rank the greatest World Series matchups in the last decade.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, the men’s soccer team faced SUNY Polytechnic Institute and won with a score of 2-0. Not only did this win give them the number one seed for the upcoming Empire 8 playoffs, but it also gave them the Empire 8 regular season title.

The Knights battled through five tough sets to come out on top, winning 3-2 in the Carl Schrader Gymnasium. It was a special day for the team’s only senior, setter Carolyn Mack, who helped lead her teammates to victory in her final home game. 

The New York Rangers (NYR) have had an awful start to the season. While the team looks better on paper than it did last season, the NYR are falling short. Many of the players are not performing to the best of their abilities, and it is showing.

Over the past weekend, the Knights faced both the Nazareth Golden Flyers on Friday in the semi-finals and the Hartwick Hawks for the championship on Saturday afternoon. Although they easily defeated Nazareth on Friday, they were unable to secure the championship over Hartwick, losing 1-4. 

Every March, when the Major League Baseball (MLB) season starts, baseball fans everywhere have high hopes for their teams, believing that this could be the year. For Boston Red Sox fans, including myself, that optimism has become an annual ritual—one that often fades by the time October rolls around. 

On Oct. 7, 2025, the New York Rangers (NYR) played their first game of the regular season. Coming off four losses and two wins in the preseason, fans are concerned that there has been no change compared to last season's disappointing performance.

On Oct. 1, 2025, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) released the 2025-26 schedule, with games set to start on Friday, Nov. 21. This schedule boasts 120 total games, which is up from 90 games last season and 72 games in its inaugural season.
