On Sept. 19, 2025, Sadie Schreiner sued the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as well as SUNY Geneseo’s Head Track and Field/Assistant Cross Country Coach, Christopher Popovici, and the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, Dani Drews, alleging the three parties worked together to illegally bar Schreiner from competing.
Knights tennis wins third straight conference match
On Wednesday Sept. 24, the Geneseo women's tennis team took their third straight Empire 8 win over the Houghton Highlanders. They beat the Highlanders 6-1, and the win pushed them to a conference record of 3-1 and 4-2 overall. The Knights won all their doubles and only dropped one singles match.
New York Rangers outlook heading into the regular season
Since last season's disastrous end, with the New York Rangers (NYR) missing out on the postseason, a lot of changes have been made to the team. The NYR finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 39-36-7, compared to the 55-23-4 Presidents' Trophy run in the 2023-24 season.
