Are zodiac signs accurate?

The Lamron debates whether zodiac signs are fun or factual

Perceptions of zodiac signs differ from person to person, and it is something that is debated a lot in the media. Some of us take them completely seriously, some of us are totally against them, and some are indifferent on the topic. The Lamron e-board has been discussing zodiac signs recently and our feelings on them, sharing whether we feel our signs represent us, as well as if we judge others based on their sign. We understand that there are skeptics of astrology, but we find it very fun and interesting.

There is a wide spectrum of what the e-board believes about zodiacs and how they represent us. Most of us have said that we don’t necessarily put too much of a stake into zodiac signs or astrology in general, but think it can be interesting. Similarly, many of us think that it can be incredibly fun to read our horoscopes and see which of our personality traits might align with each of our Zodiac signs.

Our board is made up of a wide range of signs, with various feelings on how representative our signs are. Some of us recognize our signs in ourselves more than others, with a few people on the board seeing the sign as completely fitting of their personality, and most of us seeing some of the personality traits, but not all. There is also acknowledgement of the fact that rising and moon signs change what our signs are supposed to represent. The moon and rising signs do tend to be discussed less, but are still big parts of astrology charts. We find it interesting that at times, the full chart is more representative of our personalities than just the sun signs.

Interestingly, all of our e-board members who are Virgos think that their signs fit their personalities to a tee. One of these members mentioned that they know someone who was born early better fit the sign they were born under than the one which they were supposed to have been born under. Another editor, a Capricorn, mentioned that while they do not put a lot of stake into zodiac signs, they think it can be a fun conversation as well as a good ice breaker. I am a Libra, and definitely relate to a lot of the posts I see relating to Libras, but I also think it can just be really fun, as opposed to binding.

Our board members do not judge others based on their signs, regardless of what the sign is supposed to represent. There are many instances where we see the personality traits of someone’s sign in them, but it is not something upon which we immediately base judgement. Members have mentioned that while they do not judge people based on their signs, they think it is an interesting way to connect with others.

Regardless of how much we relate to the signs, we find it fun to look at what supposedly represents us, and compare it to who we really are. That being said, astrology does not dictate our lives or opinions of other people. At the end of the day, we find it very fun, whether we agree with our signs or find them hard to relate to, it is something that is interesting to look at, and something that can spark joy.
