The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society: The engaging, dramatic historical romance film

When visiting the island, Ashton meets the various quirky members of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society who inspire laughter and a sense of family.

The secrets of their war-torn past elicit empathy from the audience as they are revealed. Ashton becomes attached to the island and the book club at the same time the viewer does. With a prospective relationship waiting at home, she seeks out answers for her new friends as her feelings for Dawsey evolve.
