“Parabolic Paths” displays professional and student-choreographed dance pieces

On April 14 - 17, the Geneseo Dance Ensemble will show its spring semester performance in Brodie Hall's Alice Austin Theater. The show, called "Parabolic Paths," will include guest artist Bill Evans' "Yes, Indeed!" Evans is a world-renowned choreographer as well as a dancer, writer, lecturer and consultant on movement theory.

Guest artist Kylee Pike Fassle, a 2004 Geneseo alumna, will perform "Funny Heartache," a jazz piece set to Chris Botti's "My Funny Valentine" and Michael Buble's "Heartbreak Tonight." Another guest artist, Eran David P. Hanlon, will premiere "The Last Coronation," a dance theater piece with a video backdrop set to music by Kevin Garcia. Other guest choreographers that assisted in putting the show together include Heather Acomb ‘06, and professor of dance Jonette Lancos.

The performance also will feature works by four senior students: Allison Bohman's "Love is Us," Jillian DeGironimo's "Above All Things," Elizabeth Doyle's "Nothing Collapses" and Lauren Alaimo's "Sunrise."

The Thursday through Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., and the Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the Brodie Box Office.
