Bears, students rally on global warming

Abstract:
Students, faculty members and polar bears gathered outside Erwin Hall on Tuesday evening to rally against global warming.

The event - organized by the Geneseo Environmental Organization - was held to raise awareness about human dependence on oil and encourage the community to take a firmer, more proactive stance against global warming....

Scientists in the U.K. have reported evidence that further refutes one theory of global climate change.

In the heated debate over global warming, there is an opposing idea, called the cosmic ray theory, which contends that climate change is simply caused by cosmic rays coming from the sun.

Its hard to buy the global warming THEORY when they can't even predict the weather accurately more than a few days ahead...I'm sure we know all about planet earth and all her cycles in the 150 years out of billions we have been keeping weather records...People, be responsible and don't trash the place but be smart too...this warming thing isn't what it seems.

My goodness people... obviously many things contribute to a natural climatic cycle here on earth. But do you honestly think that the billions of tons of trash we produce, the incredible amount of carbon that gets released into our atmosphere, and the billions of other changes we make to the earth are not having at least a tangible effect on our planet? For some strange reason, I have my doubts.

Whether global warming is real or not, I still think it's a good thing to rally for more efficient use of energy. It's arrogant and ignorant to say that just because global warming doesn't exist we should neglect the damage being done to our environment by our waste
