As the demand for graphic design increases in professional media, the graphics production minor at Geneseo is devolving. According to several students, inconsistent technology and an incompetent professor have put a hold on real-world preparation.

Graphics production is exclusively a minor, and there is no graphic design major at Geneseo.

Following the unanimous positive response to the student-composed Live Magazine project this past year, it is becoming an ever-present reality that graphic design and graphic art are two areas of study that are becoming increasingly popular in the college community. As businesses continue to go digital with much of their advertising, positions in these areas are at a very high demand.

Cyrus has been the center of attention for news outlets and blogs thanks to the release of "topless" photographs that are set to appear in Vanity Fair next month.

Yes - by making such a bold gesture the demonstrators succeeded in the difficult task of capturing our attention, and made us think about peace. By Matt Dubois Wednesday afternoon, a group of students dedicated to ending the war in Iraq gathered on the College Green to bare all for the cause, forming a fleshy monument in the name of peace.

"No I haven't read that one yet… I'll just wait until the movie comes out." Have you ever heard or used this phrase? I know that I have. And hey, it contains an element of truth - if a book is any good, they are going to turn it into a movie.

I have actually read many of the books that have made the leap to the silver screen in recent years, and the general opinion I have, with a few exceptions, is that it just isn't the same.

To the editor:

The administration doesn't care about the students. Drinking and sex is ruining people's college experiences. The concert selection is awful. Every week it's something new. I feel like I'm living inside the movie PCU. We need to find something wrong with this school and tell everyone about it.

After reading the article on TurnItIn.com, I arrived home to find my husband upset. He attends another college and was just accused of plagiarism using sites that he had never even heard of. One of his "plagiarisms" was the Constitution, which was cited!

We both have done research looking for articles pertaining to this and have found that the majority of news is positive.

Tip of the Week:

Exercise Your Way

to Stress-Free Finals

People who exercise regularly will tell you they feel better. Some say it's because chemicals called neurotransmitters, produced in the brain, are stimulated during exercise.
